Registration Form

Thank you to all of our Gear Up for Epilepsy cyclists!

You have ridden over 20,000 miles and helped us to exceed our original fundraising goal by 542%!  Yes, Five Hundred Forty-Two percent!  (That’s not a typo!)

United together your efforts have raised over $54,000!

Gear Up for Epilepsy was inspired by a young cyclist, Charlie, who dreamed of riding with his father across the United States.  Unfortunately, he would not be able to accomplish that dream as his ride was cut short by SUDEP(Sudden Unexplained Death from Epilepsy) in August of 2016.  Every year, 3,000 people in the United States die from SUDEP.

To celebrate Charlie’s memory, Charlie’s parents, Clif and Arleen departed on a 2-month cross-country bicycle trek that their son dreamed of accomplishing on June 18th, 2017 from the West coast and concluded on August 12, 2017 on the East Coast.  Clif and Arleen were joined by family and friends throughout the trip.  The Coast to Coast Charlie Team cycled 3,712 miles across the United States for Charlie to raise awareness and awareness for SUDEP and the Epilepsy Foundation.

Click here for the celebration and more information or check out the C2C4C blog.

We are so honored to have you as a member of the Athletes vs Epilepsy team.  Your time and dedication to making this event a success is truly appreciated.  And your efforts to help raise awareness for epilepsy and SUDEP are commendable.  My hope is that you will continue to ride for your overall health and wellbeing and continue support the Epilepsy Foundation through Gear Up for Epilepsy or our other variety of programs to raise awareness and funds toward the Foundation’s mission to find cures and stop seizures and save lives.

A Little Housekeeping:

Your Gear Up for Epilepsy fundraising pages will remain open until the September 30th.  That gives you a few more weeks to fundraise!

We will relaunch the Gear Up for Epilepsy before the start of summer 2018. So stay tuned in to!

Thank you again for your support!
