Athletes vs. Epilepsy in partnership with the Epilepsy Foundation of Arizona is excited to announce our partnership with 2018 El Tour de Tucson! Arizona’s largest and longest running bicycling event, El Tour is in its 36th year and hosts over 9,000 cyclists of all ages and abilities.
Choose Your Distance! The planned routes offer the beautiful vistas of Arizona, from mountain ranges with the backdrop of the majestic saguaro cactus, scenic Santa Cruz River routes or flat areas that are perfect for families. Cyclists can pedal the main event distances of 106, 75, 50, or 25 miles, choose the Fun Ride of 10 or 5 miles, .25 mile activity course, or the Indoor El Tour (Nov 11-17) stationary cycle ride (please see www.perimeterbicycling.com/indoor/ for rules).
Once you are finished with your event, celebrate with other cyclist, families, and friends at the El Tour Downtown Fiesta! Activities will include music, food, and cheering on other cyclists as they cross the finish line.
Join other Athletes vs Epilepsy participating in the El Tour de Tucson on November 17, 2018. Register today as space is limited! Each Athlete vs Epilepsy El Tour de Tucson cyclist will receive:

- Personalized Athletes vs Epilepsy online Fundraising Page to tell the story of why you are participating.
- An Athletes vs Epilepsy Performance t-shirt – Indoor Cyclist; or Bike Jersey for Main Event and Fun Ride athletes*
- Fundraising tips and resources
- Invitation to the race weekend activities!
Register in August and you will be entered into the El Tour August Registration Drawing for these special prizes packages:

- Two night stay for two at Double Tree (Friday & Sat. of El Tour) value $218

As a member of an Athletes vs Epilepsy 2018 El Tour De Tucson team, you are committing to fundraising the minimum requirement for the event that you register: $600 Main Event; $400 for the Fun Ride; or $200 for the Indoor Ride. You are responsible for any difference in funds not raised by December 17, 2018. EF will charge any outstanding balance on December 17, 2018.
Athletes vs. Epilepsy is a nationwide program for athletes of all ages and levels, coaches, volunteers and fans. The goal is to raise awareness, build participation, and help fund the Epilepsy Foundation’s mission to stop seizures and SUDEP, find a cure, and overcome the challenges created by epilepsy through efforts including education, advocacy, and research to accelerate ideas into therapies. The initiative helps to bring epilepsy awareness to all sports through participation by athletes of all ages and skill levels as well as their supportive friends, family, and fans.
The Epilepsy Foundation is dedicated to ensuring that people with epilepsy can experience all that life has to offer. *Athletes must reach their minimum fundraising requirement in order to receive an Athletes vs Epilepsy performance t-shirt or bike jersey.
