Join Athletes vs Epilepsy for the 25th Anniversary of the AACR Philadelphia Marathon, Dietz & Watson Half Marathon & Rothman Institute 8K
Our Athletes vs Epilepsy Team is celebrating November’s Epilepsy Awareness Month together in the City of Brotherly Love to raise funds and awareness for the Epilepsy Foundation. Philadelphia is consistently listed among the top ten courses in the country, with a scenic course, fan-friendly atmosphere, flat terrain, and mellow weather ideal for runners.
Join other Athletes vs Epilepsy participating in the Philadelphia Marathon, Half Marathon and 8K November 17 & 18, 2018 and raise funds to help the Epilepsy Foundation and the Epilepsy Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania to continue its mission to lead the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives. Your efforts will raise awareness in support of the 3.4 million people in the United States who have epilepsy.
Each Athlete vs Epilepsy will receive:

- Personalized Athletes vs Epilepsy online fundraising page to tell the story of why you are running!
- Your choice of an Athletes vs Epilepsy Performance racing t-shirt or singlet!
- Fundraising tips!
- Invitation to the race weekend activities!
As a member of an Athletes vs Epilepsy 2018 Philadelphia team, you are committing to fundraising minimum requirement of $850 for the Marathon; $650 for the Half Marathon; or $500 for the 8K. You are responsible for any difference in funds not raised by December 18, 2018. EF will charge any outstanding balance on December 19, 2018. Registration deadline is November 8, 2018.
Please Note the Age Requirements:
The AACR Philadelphia Marathon has adopted the following age participation policies by event distance: 16 and older for the Marathon; 14 and older for the Dietz & Watson Half Marathon; 12 and older for the Rothman Institute 8K; and 6-12 for the Kids Fun Run. All youth race participants under the age of 18 must have parent or guardian's signed authorization on the official event application and waiver. Be prepared to provide proof of age when picking up a minor's race packet.
